How to build a good Hero Wars team
A strong Hero Wars team needs three things: a tank to absorb damage, a healer to keep everyone alive, and damage dealers to end fights. The fifth slot usually goes to a support hero with crowd control, shields, or energy generation. The builder above checks exactly that balance for you.
Proven team formulas (October 2026)
- Balanced: 1 tank + 1 healer + 2 damage + 1 support. Example: Julius – Aidan – Yasmine – Iris – Sebastian.
- Burst: 1 tank + 3 damage + 1 support. Example: Astaroth – Dante – Yasmine – Kayla – Nebula. Wins fast or loses fast.
- Stall: 1 tank + 2 healers + 1 damage + 1 control. Example: Julius – Martha – Aidan – Kayla – Jorgen. Outlasts everything.
Common mistakes
- Five favorites, zero synergy. Five S-tier heroes that don't cover tank/healer roles lose to a balanced A-tier team.
- Ignoring the enemy. Arena is about counter-picking: Jorgen shuts down ult-reliant teams, Helios punishes crit teams.
- Spreading resources. Max one team before building a second. A half-built roster loses everywhere.
FAQ
What is the best team in Hero Wars?
There is no single best team — the meta answers are the Eternal Darkness (Dante/Morrigan/Phobos/Astaroth/Martha) and Crit Cascade (Yasmine/Sebastian/Jet/Astaroth/Martha) comps. Use the builder to check your own roster against the balanced formula.
How many tanks should a team have?
Usually one. Two tanks is a legit stall strategy, but zero tanks almost never works outside of gimmick comps.
